  • The Phoenix's biggest fan

    The Phoenix

This Phoenix was created and performed by Sandy Buck when the 2010 Olympic flame came to the Sunshine Coast on Thursday, Feb. 4th. It helped guide the children from the Langdale Elementary School to the BC Ferries in Langdale where the entire school waved the flame goodbye as it boarded the BC Ferrry.

  • Tales of Maggie Rose

    Rababoo Puppet Theatre

In 2005, Sandy was asked to create a puppet show for the Penticton Metis art show. Having just recently discovered her Metis heritage she was honored and excited to take on the task. Maggie Rose was born, a feisty Metis Elder puppet who has a lot to say. In 2006 Sandy and her husband started Rababoo Puppet Company. "Rababoo" means soup in the Metis Michif language and like all great soup recipes everything is added to the mix.
Rababoo's mandate is to bring hidden stories to life through the magic of puppetry.
